A Prayer for Peace
We beseech Him to impart His peace and further to help us understand it and live it out as we are called. A prayer for peace.
Seeking Peace in 2020
This peace is a host of things within us that may also war against our personal peace: forgiveness, trust, busyness, self-esteem, decisions, broken relations, fear, our past and so much more. What does God say peace is? Seek His peace through the year with us on InspiritEncourage.
Why Christ Came: to reveal the Father
The Bible is the love story of God’s pursuit of us, His people and His bride. Yet, we still do not know him.
Why Christ Came: to give us abundant life
We will have frustrations, but the life that is within us is of a quality or type such that all these daily things do not touch the core of who we are and Him who we represent.
Why Christ Came: to set prisoners free
I think if we are honest with ourselves there will be something or even many things that keeps us from living fully and freely in Him. He came that we may shed this mantle, shed this weight, shed this prison.
Why Christ Came: to be light
There is an incredible amount of darkness in this world of ours; this place that we are in, but we are not of. I think the greatest difference before Christ and after is this light.
Why Christ Came: to restore sight
A bat may be blind but has other means of finding direction and bearings. We too have other means to finding our location and bearing- Jesus.
Why Christ Came: to set the oppressed free
We are no longer subject to the rule of the world, but rather the rule of His love.
Why Christ Came: to bring division
During this season we wish ‘Peace on Earth and Goodwill to Men!’ But that comes from Christmas Bells, by a dear poet named Longfellow rather than the Bible.
Why Christ Came: for judgement
We may be uncomfortable thinking that Jesus came for judgment, because we know the final judgement is yet to come.
Why Christ Came: to teach
It is the power of his message that captivates us. It is the power of the message that make us new people.
Why Christ Came: to reconcile us to God
When we recognize our own broken part of that relationship and accept Jesus’s sacrifice, our reconciliation to God is complete.
Why Christ Came: to defeat Satan
That word destroy says it all for me, there is no one left on the battlefield, he is not just hanging his head and walking away, he is done.
Why Christ Came: to obey God
It isn’t easy in these busy lives of ours, but it is a rich reward and incredible blessing when we choose to spend alone time with God.
Why Christ Came: to show God's love
Happy Advent! Advent is upon us with great joy and anticipation of his coming! I want to embrace him this season. And, just so you know, I will be a bit shorter, as I realize each of us has even more demands upon our time in this season. So, without further ado…
