Fear directs us to look to God. He is always with us, never leaves us nor forsakes us; He sets us on our feet before the goals and promises that he gives us, He instructs us in his ways so we may be victorious.

Job lost everything: family, wealth, health. Yet through all his trials, Job continues to hope in God, he continues to trust and wait for God’s good work to come to fruition.

We have a slew of people in the Bible who feared failing, from Moses to Joshua and Gideon. Being with God makes all the difference.
Filled with the Spirit, we are enough. We need not strive to measure up to the ‘others’ because we know that we are full of the Spirit which is sufficient for all we require.
Joshua was almost nagged by God to make sure to leave the fears behind, and it was always accompanied by why the fear was no longer needed. Fear is necessary only to direct us to God, all we need.
