Book Review - O Come, O Come, Emmanuel by Jonathan gibson
Gibson has done a wonderful job compiling these resources for use on a daily basis from Advent to Epiphany. The liturgy takes about 15 minutes, so is a reasonable amount of time to dedicate to the Lord in addition to, or as, a daily quiet time.
Emotions as Gauge and Not Guide
We need to understand our emotions and control them, using them as a gauge and not a guide. They can offer an understanding of how we are feeling and how to process what is going on in our lives, but they cannot be used to drive our actions.

The books of wisdom in the Bible are those that address the big questions of life, for example good vs. evil, or the righteous vs. the foolish, and so on. They also exhort us to follow the law of the Lord. The style of the wisdom is not instructional, but more reflective and meditational.
Living in the present when everything seems to be in the future
The last few months have been a push and then wait kind of time. Here I am, in the present and content to let the incomplete be incomplete. I am content to trust him and I know God’s got this.

Overall, this book is an excellent resource, full of Bible references which support the view of the author regarding the Aaronic Blessing.

God is love and in his infinite love, he created us in his image. Part of that is to live with emotion and God experiences emotion along with us.
