Why InspiritEncourage?

The potentially dual meaning of inspirit was an intended choice, I admit. I think it is fantastic that it can be read ‘in [the] Spirit’ and also means ‘to instill life or courage (in someone)’.

I do not believe that anyone can instill life except the Creator of life. So, I think it only fitting that a Christian blog use it as the title. So, the tagline expounds on the meaning behind the word ‘to instill life, energy and courage’.

And the second part, encourage, comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV), Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. I think we all feel that discouragement is rampant and encouragement lacking. I feel like God is calling me to share His life, the life that He gives is freely available to us all, in all aspects of our lives and to encourage us all in our walk with Him. I suppose by definition, I have repeated the word ‘encourage’. That particular action is what is foremost in the content of this blog, it is important to find encouragement in this hard world through Christ and the Word.

We may all walk ordinary lives, but we do so with an extraordinary God. He has chosen to give us His life and wants us to walk it in Him. With the Holy Spirit. With courage. With energy and vigor. No matter the circumstance, we can walk filled with the Spirit, with life, with courage, with vigor, walking with Him.
