A Month of Thanksgiving 2022

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

1 Chronicles 16:34

I appreciate the discipline of thanking God regularly for new things each year at November. At times I feel that my thanks are lacking, that I repeat the same list to the Lord every day. It was difficult even now to think of various things that I don’t usually thank him for.

I developed a simple list of things to thank him for. I think the list is lighthearted while still offering a lot of depth for prayers.

I have recently been challenged to pray beyond my little sphere of influence. When I think of ‘schools’ (day 16), I thought of the whole national system, not just of the ones that my family is currently attending, then it extended to all teachers and professors and those who are in training. There is much to consider and move beyond ourselves and into the community.
