Confession Reading Plan

As the Spiritual Practices we are looking change at each month, perhaps we could focus on reading various verses are that have to do with that practice. I’ll provide a Bible Reading List for each of the topics in advance of the month. March will be Confession as a Spiritual Practice. So, we have a variety of readings about that discipline, attached and in the free resources for subscribers.

What to do with a Bible Reading List

Bible reading lists can be used in various ways, for various purposes. They can be the springboard to deeper study or stay superficial, as the reader may choose. The following are recommendations on what to do with the lists and I’ll go over a few of the ‘deeper’ uses as the year progresses.

  • Reflection – read then consider the verse and what it says of God and his will for my life.

  • Journaling – read the verse and copy it into a journal. Write your reflection of the verse, similar to above.

  • Meditation – read and take time to ponder the meaning of the verse and what it says about God.

  • Word Study – take each verse as part of a word study and outline its various meanings through the Bible.

  • SOAP or other study outline – use the verse as part of a study that follows traditional outlines for Bible verses and passages.

These seem to be the main points to consider when completing a reading list. We will review several of the study and journaling options as the year progresses. What else do you do with a Bible reading list? Share in the comments!

There are confession readings linked below and a pdf is found in the subscribers download section.
